CD4 candidate Ingrid Turner, who initially loaned her campaign $220,000 but has struggled to raise money and campaign as effectively as other candidates, will withdraw from the race and has decided to run for Circuit Court judge in Prince George’s County. Here’s a screen shot of the State Board of Elections website showing Turner having filed her candidacy for judge this morning.
Interesting situation: three new Circuit Court judges in Prince George’s were named to the bench by Governor Hogan on Friday. They now have about 60 hours left to file for the primary election and face the prospect of a contested election against a former two-term County Councilmember. Welcome to the bench - good luck in that election in 85 days!
